If you have a puppy or you are thinking of getting a puppy, then Kirsty can provide you with the guidance, help and advice you need to get you off to a positive start. Kirsty can help to give you confidence in what you are doing and prepare you for all the fun a new puppy can bring. This will cover all areas of puppy training and will prevent you from making mistakes within the first few weeks.

Puppy Socialisation and Training Classes are also available at various locations, including Morecambe, Carnforth, Hest Bank and Bolton Le Sands. These classes work well when run alongside the puppy packages, please see the Socialisation and Training class page for more details.

As well as a qualified Dog Behaviourist and Certified Dog and Puppy Trainer, Kirsty is a Karen Pryor Puppy Pre-school Instructor and has helped thousands of owners to develop a better understanding of their puppies needs and enabling them to flourish in to confident and happy dogs. Kirsty has also overseen large puppy blocks when working in rescue centres within the welfare sector, which included nurturing, rehabilitating, training, fostering and vaccinating stray and abandoned puppies.

Pre-Puppy Visits & Virtual consultations

These sessions can provide you with all the answers to the questions you may have surrounding bringing a new puppy in to your home. Kirsty keeps on top of all up-to-date research and knowledge, to be able to give you the most current advice on how best to begin your new routine with your puppy. It is important when considering a puppy routine to be able to be adaptable in case things don’t quite go as planned. This is something we can cover within the session, and by the end of the consultation you will feel confident and ready to bring your new puppy home.

What will be discussed on the session

These appointments can either be home consultations (the cost may be slightly higher) or virtual consultations, whichever best suits your needs. This session starts from £28 with a full written plan emailed to you including everything discussed on the session. They cover:

  • How to begin toilet training
  • Is a crate right for your dog (if this is something you are considering)
  • Sleep patterns and routines

  • How to begin separation training
  • Teething
  • Building confidence
  • Simple cues for when they are ready
  • Ways to relax your puppy
  • Answers to any questions you may have

  • Simple enrichment

Puppy visits

This is for people who want to start training their puppy before it is allowed outside (before their injections) and will generally be for puppies between the ages of 8 to 12 weeks. These sessions help you to develop a good routine from an early age and can answer any questions you may have. They cover:

  • Basic Cues

  • Routine

  • Toilet Training
  • Enrichment Games
  • Feeding Routine

  • Mouthing

  • Over Excitement
  • Diet Advice
  • How to Build Relationships with Children
  • Developing Boundaries
  • Crate Training (if this is something you are considering)
  • Socialisation and Habituation Advice
  • Your Dog’s Individual Needs
  • Beginning Separation Training

What advice will be given

Give you guidance

The advice is always specifically tailored to the owner and the family environment the puppy is living in, whether this is your first dog, you have young children or you are an experienced dog owner, this session will give you the guidance and confidence in what you are doing.

This advice and guidance is all simplified with an easy to follow written plan, which is emailed to you a couple of days after our puppy consultation.

This session costs £35, including the guidance plan and any extra videos you may require. Kirsty will also discuss any future goals you may have for your dog as it gets older and any further training requirements, which may include puppy training and socialisation classes and one to one coaching sessions outside.

These appointments can either be home consultations or remote consultations, which ever best suits your needs.

outdoor puppy one to one sessions

These sessions are for all puppies from 12 weeks onwards and that are fully vaccinated and allowed outside.

These sessions are to provide you with the information and guidance to help your puppy feel safe, secure, and happy in an outside and public setting, enabling both puppy and owner to enjoy going for walks by preventing problems and bad habits occurring before they begin.

These sessions cost £28 for the first session with a plan for you to follow and any sessions after this are £20. Sessions take place in various locations around the local area, and Kirsty will guide you upon this when booking.
